How do you start a business?

I'm looking at opening a rock climbing center. I have no idea how to get the business up and running, though. Can anyone tell me how to get started?

Do a yahoo search or go to the bookstore to read one of the "For Dummies" book.

You will need a business plan to present to the bank. Start by researching cost: write down all that you will need and then look for sellers of that product, also look for location and lease amount. Check out some other places similar to see what they charge.

Find your nearest SBDC and head on in. This is really a great place to start, lots of free information.

My advice is to do a business plan!!!!!!!!! All the things you need to consider will be covered in this document. Really is a worthwhile investment of time!

These are some of the most important steps: get the license true the city where you are open the business, get an ID No. for your company from the IRS. Register the company as LLD (Limited Liability).Lease your equipments instead of buying them, keep receipts of everything you buy for the company.
