Do most people that move into Vegas actually stay? And if they do, do they still like it here?

Do most people that move into Vegas actually stay? And if they do, do they still like it here? Alot of people move to Las Vegas and say that they hate it. Do these people actually end up moving out or do they eventually grow to like the place? Is there anything more to the city than just gaming jobs and bartenders? Is there any kind of business center or banking area like there are in many other downtowns? What are peoples opinion of the city? Where do people go after they leave Vegas? Thank you/

its great i have lived hear for a few years.the women are goldigging whores who only care what you can bye them.it has the biggest rate of meth users in the country.and other than gambling there is nothing to do except swim in lake mead that is filled with sewage.also a lot of the people that move here are rejects from somplace else.if you need a place to stay i recomend the budjet suites

many do....some like the lifestyle - and some actually like the heat...and some like the lack of state income taxes.

Yes, the strip is only a part of Las Vegas, and there are surrounding little suburbs that are 'normal'...

there is also a really seedy part of Vegas, that is not glamourous,
but there are nice people in LV too - I found a vet for my cat while I was traveling there, and they were the nicest people I've ever had treat my animals!

A rough estimate is that about 7000 people a month move to Las Vegas, and about 2000 a month move out. It has been among the fastest growing cities in the country for many, many years.

A lot of people move to Las Vegas thinking that living here is like visiting. It isn't. When you live here, you have to deal with everyday life, just like anywhere else. You need to make a living, buy groceries, pay the bills, and so on.

Based on the many people I've met, I'd say those who move here with a plan and a positive attitude are the ones who make it. The ones who think the world owes them something, do not.

We moved here for the great weather, low taxes, fantastic business climate, great entertainment opportunities, and the overall energy of the city. We love it.

If you don't want to gamble all the time, you can see a show, go hiking, visit a museum, enjoy a movie, go ice skating, play tennis, watch an auto race, see a baseball game, take a class, ride a horse, shoot pool, drive a go kart, fly a helicopter, sail a boat, join a club, volunteer to help others, sing with a barbershop quartet, or try a round of golf.

Banking and business centers are spread out throughout the area. There are a huge number of Business Parks that contain all kinds of financial institutions.

I think you either love it or hate it. I have some friends who've moved there and about half of them left after a time. Of course there's more to the city than gaming jobs - but, remember, Las Vegas IS a tourist-driven city, so that's where most of the jobs are going to be. There is a business center-ish area, but it's not as vast as like Denver's Tech Center area. You won't find a Wall St.-type area either. Where do they go when they leave? It depends. Some go back to where they came from. Others try other cities - like the Los Angeles area or Nashville, TN.

I LIVED HERE ALMOST 29 YRS. did love it very much , thru the yrs it has changed a lot a bigger town. the weather is hotter than it used to be, I have a business, and get sick of the heat I head out of town. like a lot do. just to get away an relax. a busy fast moving town. they is always a place out of town to excape the crazy ness. A place u just can't leave. a lot of my friend move but moved back because of the bordom/ after living here, 24/7 is the way to go...
