What is your thoughts on this comment?

I am an angry American.

At this point, we really don't have decent representation at home, in Austin or Washington. I am disgusted with politics, and we need to stand up and vote new representatives into office. Business as usual might feel fine to those with money, but it's killing us poor folks. We can't buy the proper food (I'm diabetic), over-the-counter medication, medical care or gas for our cars. Food costs are so high it's unreal. Gas? Someone needs to order our oil wells uncapped. There are tons of capped-off wells in Texas alone.

Sorry, but a $600 rebate is like trying to put a Band-Aid on a hole in a dike. God help us on medical because no one else is going to. There's an oath that doctors have: "First do no harm," and I say refusing to see a patient because they have Medicare can cause great harm. My niece could die because she's disabled, a widow, gets a small Social Security check and has Medicare.

I'm prepared to name all the doctors, cancer centers and government agencies I've called trying to get her help. Every single one told me to call someone else. She was sent out of town to see doctors, and they wanted to do surgery yesterday (she has cancer) but refused to touch her because she doesn't have the deductible for Medicare. The original doctor here said she wasn't comfortable with waiting until February for the surgery, so is my niece dying acceptable?

When we elect people, they're supposed to fight for what's best for us. Most of these people have plenty of cold, hard cash, and they don't even consider the people they stepped on getting into office and just expect us to keep them there. Major elections are coming up. We need to send a message to all candidates, "Give us proper representation or get out!"

People, if you're not registered to vote, go register. If everyone believed their single vote does not count, we would live in a Communist country. These people have what power we give them. If you see that they are doing wrong, help get them out of office. Support your fellow Texans and Americans. Show them you have a voice!
