Opening a daycare center?

So, i love children and i've always wanted to have a career that involves children. i've been thinking of possibilities teacher, nanny and finally one day it hit me that i should open a daycare center! I was wondering if i could get some advice on how to start one up? Do i need a special certification or something? I'm sure there are certain rules and regulations when getting into this business. There usually are grants to help out with funds. You will need toys, arts and crafts, books, One helpful thing is this in home or a center. You do have to go to school and have so many hours to do this if it is a center. You will need baby beds or nap matts.

Im kind of curious too. Im interested in opening a day care too. Im not sure what you need, but I think you do need to get certifications and safety training, maybe business permit. Unless, you taking care of children out of your home, you probably need to make sure that you home is safe. I wish you luck.

you need CPR certification, clearance of child abuse, you don't necessarily need to get certified in childcare but you will put yourself at an advantage with clients. You will also benefit in learning how to manage your business efficiently. Go to your local chamber of commerce website and look for ALL requirements there. It may also vary from state to state....Hope this helps!
