Anyone ever heard of Business Development/Call Center for an auto dealership?

There is an ad in the paper , for this do you sell cars on the phone and basically call people alll day to see if they want to buy a car?

Yes. You will be doing alot of cold calling and trying to sell people cars. You will try to lure them in with specials for service, etc.

Also you will handle all internet leads that come in. Some are legit, others are not.

If you want an opinion on it, don't do it. Car sales is 12 hours a day, six to seven days a week. I once sold a Dodge Viper for 89,000 and made a $230 commision. NO WORTH IT. You work holidays as well.

If you enjoy being the annoying person who calls people while they are eating dinner (at night), or calling them at work (during the day) to try to sell a car to someone who isnt even looking... this job is perfect for you...

get ready to be hung up on alot, and get used to the word "no"

it is a center that some large dealerships have...they are used to contact customers for a plethera of reasons:..theyve requested info or a quote via e-mail....or theyve had a service issue..but mostly its to re-contact salesmens customers that have been at the dealership for a test drive or have worked a deal, but havent bought yet..its a way to bring them back in for a second shot
