Better job? Working at Verizon Wireless retail store or Verizon business sales associate(call center)?

Both jobs have about equal benefits, most of your paycheck seems to be based on commissions and bonuses. One is more face to face time at a busy retail store(seems a little bit less stressfull) Call Center seems a bit more structured(but equally busy with a lot of headset time) Any worked at either call center or retail that could give there two cents about the pluses and minuses? Doesn't have to be with Verizon,Bellsouth,ATT,MCI,Qwest... I don't care. What is the overall atmosphere like, where is the least amount of churn? Where is big brother not watching as much while I take a pee break?

Working in the call center will be much more structured. Stats will be monitored based upon your time spent on the phone each day such as schedule adherence, productive time, number of calls handled, etc. I personally feel that dealing with customers over the phone is less stressful than dealing with them directly face-to-face. The stores can become extremely busy with long lines, making customers and in turn, employees unruly at times. Like you said, the commission potential and benefits would be about equal given both positions. It comes down to whether you want to be on your feet or on your seat every day.
