Do I need to have a license to become a 'Life Coach'?

I live in Missouri and I am interested in advertising my services as a Life Coach. Is any particular licensing necessary in most states, or (if you know) specifically in Missouri? Are there specific guidelines that I must follow with respect to how I advertise my services and conduct my business? Or is this field largely unregulated at present? I've seen many "new age", health, and business centers offer 'Life Coaching' but I have always wondered if this is 100% legal. In general, what might be considered the line between offering therapy and Life Counseling? Any information you can provide in this regard would be most appreciated. Thanks!

If there were any specific requirements for your state, they should be listed on this site: http://pr.mo.gov/ It doesn't look like it is regulated as long as you are just calling yourself a coach and not a counselor, therapist, psychologist, or social worker.

What this means to me is that you just won't get reimbursed by health insurance companies like mental health professionals can.
