I'm certified as a USBC coach how do I start & manage my own business as a bowling coach ?

There are four bowling centers in my area. There is high school bowling in my state. I want to give private lessons & group lessons.

Before you start, I would take the time and expense to properly organize your operation. How serious do you want to be with this?

If you want to get into this professionally then I would seriously consider spending the money and shielding yourself from liability thorough an S Corporation or LLC. This is in case someone gets hurt during a lesson, it will limit your liability and they can't go after you personally. I would talk to a CPA or attorney in your area for advice.

In terms of managing, you will want to keep track of your revenue and expenses. I highly suggest getting an accounting package for this. It not only lets you see how you are doing, but it makes your job easier come tax time for you or the tax preparer to do your Schedule C (or K-1).

Quickbooks has a piece of software called Simple Start which I still believe is 100% free and will do just fine for you. The more expensive versions are only more beneficial if you have a lot of fixed assets and a more complicated operation.

If you want to keep a home office for this and deduct the expenses, then you have to abide by strict home office deduction rules that a CPA or tax professional can explain better than I can here.

You will want to try to get your word out. Bowling centers are a good place to start. Maybe they will let you put your card up and/or advertise lessons. Yard signs are excellent tools as well.

As you build up rapport with your clients, then your business will grow, mature and be a great success.

Anyways, those are a few tips. I hope that helped.
