Color laser printer recommendation needed.?

Please provide a recommendation from personal experience only.

I am looking to purchase a color laser printer for the purpose of printing flyers and brochures. I need something that provides quality that matches or exceeds the color prints or copies one would get at the big box copy centers.

Quality of finished product is my first priority, but if you can tell me whether or not it really is less expensive in the long run to print my own copies at home that would be great information to have.

Currently, I get small runs at a big box copy center as my business promotional packages change periodically. Standard one sided color copies on 24# paper cost me $.39 per piece. Double sided copies on special papers can cost me up to $2.20 or so per piece.

I'm thinking I can get the same quality at home and save some money too.

Any suggestions?

HP laserjets get about 3000 pages per cartridge and the cartridges cost about $75. That is .025 per sheet, and the prints are fine quality. The model is up to you, but get the best.

Most modern printers will print professional looking flyers,even the lower end ones.However with the price of ink cartridges you will spend more money in the long run if you are printing massive amounts of flyers.Kinko's or other print shop offers packages that are pretty cheap compared to what you would spend on ink and paper...good luck

I use an Okidata c5300 here at work and it works great, copies look really good. I think the c5500 is the update for that model.
