Please help with information on a upcoming daycare center in chicago.(Directors etc.)?

I need help. Are there any daycare directors in cook county chicago willing to give me tips on running a daycare? I am in the process of opening my own and wanted to get some tips from a more experienced person. As you know, most centers do not want to give(any info) fearing you will take business away from them. However, mines may be in another county. I want to know things like, what is you job description and some tips on how to get up an running. I have been researching and going to daycare orientations but want to get infor from the source. Thanks with any help.....

While it is always best to talk to a present business owner, you are right that some will view you as a competitor and will not talk to you. If that's the case, get the information from other sources -- government agencies, books and websites
