Do I pay taxes on income earned while out of the country?

I work for a private company ( a call center ) and was sent overseas on business to train one of our vendors. The money I earned from the US company while overseas, will I have to pay taxes on that?

Yes you will have to pay taxes on it because you are still a US resident. That is IRS guidelines. Check with a tax professional in your area regarding how your state handles income from overseas or even another state.

It depends on how you were paid. If the money was direct deposited then probably yes! but fight with your employer on this issue if it was a lot of money>

When I worked overseas, it was for shorter periods; I was getting a bonus for the hardship, and on top of that, the company paid more, to ensure that taxes didn't eat up most of the extra money I was earning as a bonus.

it depends on how much ur making and were ur at overseas and if it is a tax free zone like the middle east or other hot zones around the world, I would also talk to ur company about paying taxes, and i would talk with tax service in the U.S. about it......
