I'm pregnant and need help with housing! any advice on where to get help?

I need to know where can I find a place where they can help me find a place to live and help me out. I know there is agencies or centers who help women but I just don't know how to begin searching. I am pregnant living with my bf but I am really miserable there. we live with his mom and he doesn't seem to grow up and take care of business. He treats me like crap and doesn't help me out at all. He doesn't work, and all he does is stay home and watch tv. He takes advantage of his mom and myself. I want to go my own way but it's really hard just leaving when I have absolutely no where to go. I do have a job, and I just have a feeling he'll want ME to support all of us. I can't take it anymore. does anyone know where I can call or go. I live in California by the way. u can apply for section 8 & they will help u if u have a low income & will give u list of places. Try calling ur local social service offices for help.

go to your social service office...and deffinately leave that guy you are with!

Try to find your local human services or social services office (not sure what is is called in California). They can set up with assistance for food, medicade, WIC, housing assistance, utility assistance etc.

The work with housing in the state of maryland and you will need to conact human or social service and they will refer you to the housing authorities where you live! Good Luck!
