Is this how liberals want me to think?

I鈥檝e been reading questions and answer here for a while, trying to understand the liberal mindset. Here鈥檚 what I have so far:

President George Bush is an evil and stupid man. He personally started the war in Iraq because his family is in the oil business. We have no reason to be there and should pull out immediately. Let the Sunnis and Shiites kill each other鈥攊t鈥檚 none of our business.

Those planes crashing into the World Trade Center were a part of a conspiracy orchestrated by President Bush and a host of other nameless, unknown individuals. They wired the towers with explosives so the buildings would collapse when President Bush鈥檚 co-conspirators crashed the planes, killing over 3,000 innocent American civilians. No plane ever hit the Pentagon鈥攖hat was a missile fired by our own forces.

Findings continued:

President Bush and the American military are bad people for making the Taliban terrorist prisoners at Guantanamo stay up late at night after a full day of rest, three nutritious meals, a US government-supplied copy of the Koran, and opportunity to pray five times.

Republicans are evil and stupid. They all have hidden agendas and are in politics only to further their own economic interests.

White people are evil and stupid. They have secret meetings to devise ways to harm other races and cultures.

Christians are evil and stupid. Religious freedom and expression is encouraged in America, unless you are Christian.

American soldiers are war-mongering Neanderthals who can鈥檛 think for themselves, unless they oppose the war like Watada who is lauded as a hero for refusing to deploy to Iraq after accepting military pay and benefits for four years.

I'd have to agree with everything you say. Great job and just maybe you can change one liberals mind after reading this.

Yes, that is a major part of how they want you to think.

For those that think that liberals want you to "think for yourself" think again.

"Think for yourself" is a code phrase that ACTUALLY means "Think opposite of accepted conclusions based on thorough expert analysis". This effectively CLOSES your mind to truth, and sets you up to generally listen to ANYONE that has an alternate view contrary to what is widely accepted based on FACTS and opinions of EDUCATED EXPERTS.

"Think for yourself" tricks you into thinking that you know something you don't. It becomes painfully obvious when someone formulates a conspiracy theory in your area of expertise. For example, imagine what an Aerospace Engineer thinks about the Moon Landing Hoax, or what a physicist must think of those ridiculous YouTube videos that "prove" that the WTC had bombs in it on 9/11/01. What does a demolition expert think of the "implosion theory"? Or what about the Pentagon employees that saw a plane fly into the building?

I think you pretty much covered it all. You're going to offend a lot of libbys. They don't like it put all together like this because it seems crazy in the light of day.

You forgot that the open-minded, tolerant libs think half of their fellow countrymen are brainwashed idiots because they have a different opinion.

You really are a good student at the school of liberalism! Had to think for a while to think of something you forgot. The impeachment of Clinton was only because he had sex in the White House with someone other than his wife and it should really have been none of our business.

They want you to think for yourself and not be led around by your biases and preconceived ideas and opinions!

You forgot the part about how the evil SUV's are destroying our planet because the internal combustion engine is a threat to National Security (according to Al Gore) and that it is somehow O.K. to falsely accuse Vietnam veterans of being baby killers while at the same time supporting Planned Parenthood. At least you are asking questions, although your motive is not because you are seeking answers, but rather, because you want to ridicule those that see things different than you. No one should believe what the are told to believe no matter if the answers comes from those on the left or the right. Instead you should do some real research and find the answers for yourself.

if I did a conservative version of what you did, it would say things like "Iraq was behind 9-11 and saddam orchestrated it along with every Muslim in the middle east. if they aren't all wiped out, they will bomb every city in America with nukes tomorrow, so we must nuke them first"...

ADDITION: If you are a mercenary as you say, it is YOUR choice to be there in Afghanistan. I supported going into Afghanistan, the Taliban were hiding the people who perpetrated 9/11. But Bush attacked Iraq which had nothing to do with it. If you are a mercenary, You are a private soldier, Blackwater mayb? Trying to equate the overall liberal point of view from what you have absorbed from Republican pundits regarding non-relevant topics is a far cry from concrete liberal objectives.
