Would you believe Wal-Mart is doing this?

Help recruit 1,000,000 families who will agree not to shop at Wal-Mart or Sam's Club (owned by Wal-Mart) on the Friday and Saturday following Thanksgiving. Here's why:

In a show of support to help homosexuals legalize same-sex marriage, Wal-Mart has agreed to automatically donate 5% of online sales directly to the Washington DC Community Center for Gay, Lesbian Bisexual and Transgender People. The cash donation will come from online purchases made at Wal-Mart through the homosexual group's Web site. This move follows Wal-Mart's joining the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce and agreeing to give generous financial help to that organization also.

Every purchase made online for books, music, videos, clothing and accessories, children's clothing and toys, and electronics at the site will automatically send 5% of the sales to the CCBLBT People. The agreement is an indication that Wal-Mart is totally committed to supporting the homosexual movement.

Wal-Mart also gave a generous cash donation to the Northwest Arkansas Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Community Center, helping to provide a place where homosexuals can come together to "socialize."

Many observers feel it would have been a wise business decision for Wal-Mart to remain neutral in the cultural battle over homosexual marriage. But this was an ideological decision by Wal-Mart - not a business decision.

I Think thats whack! This is the problem with schools today as well. What is wrong with our society?! We should not be teaching that it is ok to be gay or Lesbian. Accept it...YES. Kinda surprising, considering they had to be sued to get their pharmacies to carry certain types of birth control. Wal-mart isn't exactly known for it's progressive views. Where did you hear about this?

I think it is wrong , they are choosing to help support a movement that is inherently wrong and lacks any values ..... it doesnt supries me a bit ... wal mart would give money to the KKK if they set up a web site that let klan members shop on line. The only money they are giving is money generated from the queers website not funds that are generated by walk in customers , Wal mart is a shameless destroyer of family values and communities all thoughout the country. They are one of the worst in my opinion they dont have the goods people want they force people to buy the good they carry ....I wont shop there ....

I have read articles claiming a huge amount of buying power from the gay community. Its in the hundreds of billions. Its a gross exaggeration but companies seem to be buying it and kissing gayass to get to the dollars.

I think it is important to remember that Gay people are people. That said, Why cant they donate $ to take care of the homless? Or set up a free vaccine clinic for children? Why would you choose such a shallow orgainization to donate too. There are alot more needy groups in this nation than the one metioned above. I am a conservitive white woman, married with three small children. I, however choose to love everyone no matter what their sexual prefrence is. I dont not believe that the gay lifestyle is a heathly one. But neither is being involved in drugs or gambling. The bible saids that a sin is a sin whether it is stealing or murder. I think it is shameful that out of all the people that need help in this nation Wal_mart has choosen this orginaization to assist. What about the troops for crying out loud? and their families? I think priorities need to be looked at.
