Was 9-11 a strike on American Capitalism?

Was 9-11 a strike on our way of life as some claim or an attack on American hegemony?
David Rockefeller, grandson of one of America's richest men in the world, oil refiner John D. Rockefeller, was the brain child of the World Trade Center.
As chairman of the Chase Bank, David Rockefeller was an important figure in international business and extended his family banking empire world wide.
The Rockefeller family's influence in world affairs has been significant and far reaching. There has been nothing in the world since the election of William McKinley that the Rockefellers have not played a major role. Including the 1913 tax amendment, created to guarantee the loans of American banks to other countries, backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government.
What must he have thought as he watched the twin towers collapse from his office?

Yes, it was a strike on our capitialism. because we are the most Power seeking country in the WORLD and that is not the best position to be in......

It was a direct attack at the American Economy. Look what the results were. Just having the airlines shut down for 2 days caused major losses, not only to the airlines, but to business counting on those flights to get people and product places.

9/11 a strike on American capitalism?? Did you not see the news?' The strike was on the American People! Or, you didn't see any casualties?

No. It was a direct strike on you and me. It was not an abstract financial conspiracy. It was much more personal.

OBL lost a lot of money in an investment in BCCI, an Arab bank that had a Wall Street presence. They were a fairly major player until they imploded. No one ever mentions that fact, but I think it had something to do with it.

Nope, best not read into things that are not there. You can off-stretch your imagination and involve American capitalism, but I wouldn't go that far.

No. it was an attack on our freedom... A wake up call, letting us know they actually want to destroy our way of life.. and are very intent in their goal. Is covered by the law of Shariea.

I think it was also meant to be vengeance against the US for defiling the holy city of Mecca by posting infidel troops in Saudi Arabia. I think this was one of Osama's main demands, if not the main demand in the video he issued a few weeks or months before 9-11.

And yes, it was a strike against capitalism - they meant to defile a symbol of western commerce and secularism, just as they felt the US was disrespecting a huge symbol of Islam..
