I live in BC, Canada. Can I be an independant Travel Agent?

I want to sell travel from home, ont he itnernet and via ebay. I do NOT want to open an "agency" or storefront. I JUST want to sell online, and to family/friends maybe. I signed up with a host company, giving me a website and access to their suppliers, which I have to pay a monthly fee to access. A friend has told me that BC requires traevl agents to register. lookign it up, I came across this:

It looks like it's for an agency only- I WOULD be willign to register as a business, but like I said, I want to work from home. It loosk liek my only option is to get an office and apply for a licence...or go work for flight center! Any one know anything about the law?

Could I for instance, work as an "independant contractor'" of a host agency, without actually being a travel agent here? Is what i'm doing illegal? Could I register a business in Washington or soemthing, and still work from my house in BC?

Watch out. Talk to the Registrar for Travel Agents (not sure of name) in BC.
Check under Associations for Certified Travel Agents for input. You need to be licensed - that is for sure.
