How do I go about opening a small daycare facility?

I have been working in the childcare field for now 5 years and now wanting to own a childcare center. Dont really know to get started, who I need to speak with. I am looking for small business grant. ONLY SERIOUS ANSWERS PLEASE!!!!

When you say small, how small? Because as you know if you do it in your home you can do about 5 kids. The requirements aren't as strict. In a commercial setting you will find harder regulations. Never use the words "Pre-school", you will have to meet higher standards, than if you use the words "Learning Center". Another thing depends on the State you are in. The best source is going online and see what your state requirements are.
