Am i doing the right thing?

i start working when i was 17 than latter that year i took up a course and attach to a resort hotel work there for a year than came back to the city and start working in a hotel for one year-i was not happy with the small salary.i left and join a cafe 4 months later-poor management i left i join another business hotel than left in a year after i got a job with a better pay in a call center.
i might get a job at a boutique hotel but next year i am planning to further study as i have interest in culinary art
is that a smart move
when i complete my studies i plan to work in the food production
maybe i am lucky enough to be 30 i wanna be a teacher
what do u think am i making a big mistake here or have i plan things too early
tell me am i making the biggest mistake in my life

hi there, it sounds like you might be about 23 now? Finding the right path and job you like does take a few tries sometimes, and i totally understand about finding a job that will pay for you to live. I think if you like the culinary arts, which is cool, i love cooking and things like that, then move forward with that. Nothing wrong with early planning, (and also having a plan B or C) It sounds like you have some experience in the food industry from your cafe work.

You know if you take some culinary art courses at a college, the college may also have some internships at restaruants so you can get more hands on experience.

Being a teacher would be great, but that is a whole different set of courses and from what i've heard the pay for a teacher isn't that great. Unless maybe you find a job teaching about cooking? (you could be the next Rachel Ray eventually)

If you like to cook and like the culinary field, then I say stick with that, there are probably different avenues of that field you could get yourself into and if you can get into school and work at a cool fancy restaurant at the same time, then you're using what you are learning.

I dont' think you are making a mistake at all, you're still young and exploring your options.

Schooling can only help, and can never be taken from you. No matter what age you are go for it and stick it out.

I suggest you take an English class first, then stay in one job longer than a year.
