Is espn going downhill?

i am wondering why espn is hiring all of these sports center anchors who in my case are terrible. i love when they use the ones who have been in the business like steve levy and john anderson, but now they are bringing in people who flat out cannot do that job

I think that they just use the replacements when the others are on vacation. March is a pretty slow sports time nowadays because no one cares about hockey, NBA games are only a handful per night during the week, and the NCAA tournament hasn't started yet.
