I am a quiet/shy person and I LIKE BEING THIS WAY?

but lots of people find it weird that I like being quiet and minding my own business.

I enjoy it and i don't won't to change. Why do people always tell me to " open up more" when i don't need to nor do i want to.

Do people have a problem when others are quite?

maybe because i am 33y/o and its strange that I don't want to be the life and center of attention in this "me" society



Also: GUYS IT'S NOT ABOUT GETTING WOMAN. BEING SHY AND AND ATTRACTING WOMAN ARE 2 TOTALLY DIFFERENT THINGS. PLEASE GROW UP

Your quiet reserved nature probably makes people nervous. This is because they are insecure in themselves, and therefore don't understand your position. I would much rather spend time with someone who keeps his personal life to himself, and doesn't feel the need to blurt out every detail.

I know what you mean and I'm exactly the same. And the bad thing is, people think they know everything about you because you are quiet. I always think to myself, why don't you try talking to me(instead of saying you need to open up more) and maybe I will talk back!! I don't want to change either.

Being shy is one thing, but never wanting to socialize is quite another. People may feel uncomfortable because maybe they think you have something to hide. If you have some personal issues maybe check it out with a counselor and build your self esteem. You like it this way because it's a safe zone...for now. But you can change that if you try. Or decide you want to. Good luck. Do it for yourself and not for others.

shyness can be taken as "something to hide" i'm not insinuating you have something to hide, but that's how some people think. personally, i'd advise to just be who you are. there isn't anything wrong with being quiet and shy. you're not about to change at 33 anyway. (not unless you really want to) and that's ok.
