Don't you hate those bluetooth headsets people where in public?

I hate them with a passion. Nothing says "I'm a self important jerk" like those stupid little ear peices. I can understand that having your hands free can sometimes be important, like while you drive or like me I work in a call center and need my hands to use my computer. But what I don't need to do is just walk around, go to the bathroom, eat my lunch, shop. And then the people who are using that thing they may suddenly start speaking and because you don't see that thing in their ear you think "Are they speaking to me?" or you may even ask them to which your told no and more often then not ignored. Come on, with todays unlimited calling plans with cellphones more and more people are glued to the cellphones and even conduct their daily business while on the phone, ignoring the people around them as they step into that bubble of self importance that says "Screw everyone elses ****, mines more important." I can only hope as you babble on your phone you don't see that truck.

If you walking around or otherwise doing something where you cannot comfortable hold the phone to your ear then you don't need to be on the phone. Should I paying for my groceries while on the phone, ignoring the cashier, should I be doing anything that carries my attention away from the here and now? No, I shouldn't be on the phone.

I feel exactly the same! If you can't hold the phone, then don't use it! I am a cashier, and it's usually the snobby people who throw their money at me and chat away like they think I am the scum of the earth. I just want to slap them, but then I would get fired, lol. I usually just give them their money and greet the next person as quickly as possible to get them to go away!

HAHAHAHA. I just got back from being on vacation for the weekend and I saw a lot of that in the airports. I feel the same way.

I call them borgs. And wish them many ear infections, deafness etc..

I HATE those things! I can't tell you how many times I've thought a stranger was talking to me in a store because I was on the wrong side of them and didn't see the earpiece. And they act like YOU are the idiot for responding to them.

I can see where they would be useful. My dad sells real estate and uses it to make calls when driving around town, or when he needs to be on the computer at the same time. But when you're buying ice cream, at least use a regular phone so that the rest of the store can see WHY you're being loud and obnoxious.

Not to mention it makes you look totaly ridiculous to have this big plastic crap hanging from your ear.

I agree 100%. I think unless you are in a car driving or jogging down the road, they should be ripped from your pretentious ears! I hate people who talk on them while you are trying to conduct business. They are so lazy that they can't even hold a phone up to their ear.
You know what else drives me crazy? The lady from the nail place in my strip mall that lets her dog crap on the lawn out front. It looks like a spotted rat...

Well at least it helps us identity those "self important jerks"

I also hate them with a passion.... I hate seeing the guys at happy hour in a very loud bar with these things in their ear, it's all for show. I mean, if someone was to call them could they really hear them...they walk around like a bunch of bourgeoisie brothers.
