Who saw the article about how it may be in the Chiefs' best interest to trade LJ? |
It said possible suitors included the New York Giants, Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints, and my Philadelphia Eagles. It talked about how KC is officially in rebuilding mode, and LJ will not have a good year this year because teams will be stacking up to stop him with a young QB under center, which makes perfect sense. What do you think about LJ possibly moving, I don't think it will happen, but sports are too unpredictable these days with moving players and it being a business and what not. Yeah they are in the rebuilding process right now and probably for the next few years. Larry Johnson isn't really going to do them much good if they don't have the supporting cast around him to make for a contending team. I agree that they should trade him ASAP and get a few picks for next year's draft to add to their "young team" as Herm Edwards puts it. If you have a star running back, get as much as you can for him. Running backs are over valued. They lose a lot of production after age 30. Johnson will be 28 in November. Yeah, I am think he is going to be out soon. In addition to what the first person said, his contract is up after this season, I believe. They should trade him, they could probably get a first rounder and a few extra picks for him because the Chiefs wont do much next year. They got rid of Green and their X-factor, who comes up with big plays, Daunte Hall. Its not an unrealistic situation, they still have Holmes. I hope they trade him to my Packers. I would give them next year's first pick without hesitation (although knowing Ted Thompson, he probably won't do that). I don't think RBs are overrated like #1 said, unless they play in Denver. Imagine the Chargers without LT? Larry Johnson is a great player in his prime. GB with LJ could be Superbowl bound this year. Yea it was the stupid guy and his opinion. Personally Larry Johnson will not end up in Philly (they are 5 or 6 deep at RB now anyway). New Orleans woouldnt want him they have Bush and McAllister as theri one/two punch. The Giants have 8! RB's on their team and besides the have Reuben Droughns what do they need with Larry Johnson? Green Bay would have to release a couple RB's because they currently have 5 at that position. |
