Dear GAWD!

O.k. so I read the article. It happens all the time. I do not go onto My space anymore because I received an e-mail from someone telling me what I had worn the night before while vacuuming my living room. I was scared crap-less! Then when I asked questions this person kept saying they wanted to meet me and if I didn't they would meet me anyway.

I notified My space and absolutely nothing was done about it!

I then had a note on my door and it was apparently a 16 year old that was infatuated with me. I set up a meeting and involved the police.

So yes it happens and the perpetrators are not always these hairy huge rugged me we think they are supposed to look like.

Here's the kicker!

The 16 year old lived in the house behind me! His Father was a Pastor and he wanted to know why I was o.k. with being Gay and successful yet he was fighting a emotional hell from what he was being taught by his Father. He didn't think it was fair!

"Live chat harassment or "flaming" (online verbal abuse)" applies best. When people are harassed due to religious beliefs, race, disability etc., it is even more serious. When this occurs it is called a hate crime.

That could be in some radical cases an example of such. It is a real shame that some spend an enormous amount of energy trying to cram something down somebody else's throat when God intended for service to Him to be a personal choice. Although He tells Christians to preach the gospel, He also warns clearly for those who claim to be His followers not to judge others or we will be judged before God. Lots of times too much emphasis is placed on the end instead of how and why we need a clear beginning. Not to often, if possibly never, do you hear a fundamentalist raving on and on about love being the greatest of all of God's gifts to us. They are too busy telling about how failure in our believing as they believe is sending us to Hell. Well my Bible says something quite different from theirs. They maybe should hush up a while and ask God about it all themselves. Most of the ways I've seen fundamentalists trying to spread the teachings of Jesus can quickly be heard as hate messages full of condemnation and burning in Hell. God told us as Christians to love others as He loved us. Bullies don't show love, they show intimidation.
