What is a LAN gaming center?

What are they, and what do they do? I am a little older (42) and the only thing I can think of is like our old arcades. I am helping this person draw up a business plan, which I have good experience in, but don't know squat about the actual business!

It's a room with a lot of computers with computer games on them (a lot of them have Counterstrike), and people go there to play against each other over a local-area-network. If you are making one, you will need several gaming computers. Make sure they have a dedicated graphics card, at least one gigabyte of RAM (preferably two), and an intel Core 2 Duo processor. You will also need some sort of server and ethernet switch. The person you are working with should know what these terms mean. If they do not, they should learn what they mean, because they are very very important for a LAN gaming center.

It is a place that has Xboxs, Computers, PS3, Ps2 all hooked togather and possibly connected to the Live or Online. You and your buddies can play against each other or togather, all while sitting in the same building.

Yes, it is a room where multiple computers are all networked together and connected to the internet and people pay (usually hourly) to have access to them, whether its gaming or just accessing the internet. sometimes there are gaming consoles (xbox, playstation) also connected there.
