Is there a problem with a 44 year old male not married yet because he says he's too picky?

If he says he's too picky, do I believe him? He had a fiance many years ago and she killed herself. His last girlfriend was very well off and she proposed and gave him an ultimatum and he left. He's very money hungry but none of his business ventures are panning out. Every month his cell phone is turned off for non-payment. Says he wants to get married, but says he is very picky. Is it that he's too picky or that no one wants to marry him cause he's a self-centered prima donna and he's lying about it? He says many women have proposed to him. He says he wants to marry me, but neglects me. If someone is really picky like they say they are, when they find that someone special I'd think they would be hanging on tightly to be sure they don't lose her instead of neglecting her thinking she'll stick around. I think he's looking for that special person that will take the abuse and still be there for him. No wonder he's still alone at 44 and makes it out to be everyone else's fault.

this was on DrPhil a couple days ago..what this man is REALLY saying by *picky* is he wants a woman to pay all his bills,clean his house,feed the kids,give him $$,wear freaky undies,..all for him to contribute NADA to relationship. (without complaining---that is the "picky" part)

Sure, he's self-centered, selfish, and probably a pain in the ***, but let him live with the belief that it's his "pickiness" that leaves him without a relationship.

Girl... in one word: RUN! It's got trouble written all over it! At 44 and "picky" is a nice word for "loser mama's boy who cant commit to anything". I don't mean to be harsh, but he's probably going to cause you nothing but trouble.

His focus is completely on his family, mom/dad/bro/sis/cousins/god/etc..., a humble/honest/unselfish man, waiting for the right woman to ask him... a lady not a girl.

The truth be told his 1st g/f couldn't stand his *** anymore and split and the 2nd one he probably tried to mooch off of her to pay his phone bill. But says women want to marry him... marry his broke ***, eh? LOL!
