Has anyone opened a Day Care Center?

Do you need to have a Bachelors? What are the requirements and how much is needed to start this kind of business?

1. You don't need to have a Bachelors degree nor any degrees.

2. You need to get a certificate. To get a certificate, you need to do some basic learning about day care and test a simple exam.

3. You have to live at home. (Owning or renting are both ok.)

4. The home has to meet certain space and functional requirements, which needs to be checked by an officer from the State level Day Care Program agency.

5. The Day Care Center operator needs to pass a legal background check.

6. The number of babies or young children is limited to 6 per certificate holder

7. Follow the standard guidelines closely, which set by the State Day Care Program agency

8. Certificate holder must be 18 years and older
