Can you reccomend a good place to eat near the convention center in charlote, nc?

I am interested in something fun and good ...and not a chain. I'm only here for a few days....on business.

Pewter Rose Bistro. Very eclectic. Sounds like what you're looking for. Atmosphere, food and service are great! Usually have entertainment Wed, Fri, & Sat. Was a destination restaurant 20 yrs ago before South End was "South End.' Near uptown- 1820 South Blvd. Also, they have Tutto Mondo, a very cool martini bar nextdoor.

Georgio's is fantastic
