Yahoo Email Account Used to send SPAM to those in my address book?

This has been asked several times, but I have not read a suitable reply. Please do not reply by simply telling me to change my password - because I regularly do this.

I am looking for replies that would explain how this is done. It sent individual emails to address saved in my yahoo address book. Is it a virus on my computer? Something that is sent to my email address? I want to understand how it is able to access my address book. So that I can figure out how to prevent it in the future. It happened a few years back where only close friends were affected, but now it is a lot more inconvenient because I also use the address to stay in touch with some business contacts. And the phrasing is far more sophisticated and it can dupe some people from thinking it is a valid link I sent them.

There is spyware on your computer. Each time you change your password, whoever put the spyware on it is seeing and using the new one. You can prevent this by not clicking on pop-ups, stay away from phishing sites, and follow this link. It is a spyware remover and is a free, secure download.

The yahoo toolbar has an anti-spy program. Go to:
http://toolbar.yahoo.com/ and download the toolbar. You will get a chance to select with or without anti-spy. Choose with.
Also you may have a virus and something like Norton Anti Virus is very good. There are several others. Most anti virus programs have to be purchased.
Also you need to have an 'adware' remover. One good one is Ad-Aware from www.lavasoft.com. Get the free version.
You really need all three types of removers.

You have spyware on your computer that is sending out those emails. You should get a good anti-spyware program. I recommend SUPERANTISPYWARE. It is free to download and it worked great for me.
