McCain believes the oil executives鈥?false statements that drilling in the OCS would produce results in 鈥渁 couple of years.鈥?Never mind that an Energy Information Administration analysis determined that access to the Pacific and Atlantic Coasts, and protected areas in the Eastern Gulf of Mexico would 鈥渘ot have a significant impact on domestic crude oil and natural gas production or prices before 2030.鈥?br>

You have to have enough energy in the U.S. to never again have to go to the Saudis and ask them to pump more. If we're going to pump more, let's pump it in the United States.

Welcome to the reality of politics. Yeah -- lets pay a candidate a huge sume of money, which is a pittance for our industry, so he will back our drilling! So rather than invest in future technology, like Solar Power or Wind Power, etc., that will be around forever, let's keep sinking all that money into oil, which will be gone some day, and then our grandkids are really screwed!

McCain wants the decision left to the states - so if CA doesn't want to drill, they don't, if TX wants to drill, they can.


Leaving it to the states doesn't exactly cater to Big Oil.

So, him and his wife are worth over 100 million dollars and he's going to be swayed over 1 million dollars? I'm not buying it. Maybe you should leave a source that specifically says he will be paid 1.1 million dollars if this happens.

obama also has gotten money from big oil yet he does not want to drill. is his price higher? 2030 is a myth, i have heard from oil execs 2-3 years. the reason for his change of position is gas is 4.00 a gallon. i wish someone would offer a viable substitute for oil, for immediate use, not a solar/wind program that is as far out as you say the oil is, 20 plus years.

No it's because no one knows anything about barrac obama and he will make the country a horrible place and turn us over to concentration camps in iraq and everyone is voting for him because he is "part" black and really he has never made anything he said he will do official. so all of the people who like him are dead wrong about thinking he will make our country a better place.
