I recently applied for a kay jewlers credit card and blooming dales credit card.

after i filled in all the info it asked me for 3 security questions like: prev address and prev accounts. Now after that it said i will receive a written response in 20 business days. Now the question i have is. Is this a good thing or bad thing >?? I meannormallyy if your declined for credit they will tell you write off the bat. So can any oneshedd light on this for me thanks

Wrong, if you were approved, then they would have told you right off the bat. When you are not approved, they don't tell you in the store, 9 out of 10 times,they will tell you that your response will come in the mail.Think about it this way, if you were approved, do you think they will actually make you wait a month for a card when they want you to purchase their good asap because by that time you would have brought whatever it was from someplace else. Store accounts are different from bank credit cards. hope this helps!!!

You were not automatically approved, but you could still be approved pending further review. They simply need more time to review your application. They may contact you asking for further documentation. There is a good chance it will be rejected, but that's not a definite.
