Doesn't this pretty much nail it on Obama?

I find Obama's stance to be a liberal internationalist version of the same crusading, feelgood, soaring, moralistic universalism that led us down the primrose path when it came out of the mouth of George W. Bush (compare Obama's speech to Bush's second inaugural address). It's perfectly understandable that people want a big change after eight years of Bush. I certainly do. But this Obama Messiah business is absurd. People think the guy is going to usher in a New Jerusalem; guess what, folks -- it's a Potemkin Village.

Obama is a looser palin and simple the love affair he has with the media will soon end and hopfully after he terminates his affair with Katie Couric they'lll expose the socialist for what he is

That pretty much sums it up.

Obama is a FRAUD. Wake up Obama and McCain supporters. They both have ties to the Committee on Foreign Relations (a globalist committee started by one world government supporter David Rockefeller - look it up, it is all true). They both support NAFTA (ask a texan or any true American how they would like a superhighway going through their backyard - look up NAFTA superhighway). They both support FISA (You libs were up in arms about illegal tapping of phones when Bush recommended it, I don't hear you complaining now that Obama supports it). Obama went to the recent Bilderberg meeting in Virginia (again, a top secret meeting David Rockefeller attends with the most powerful people in the world - as Americans, don't we have a right to know what goes on in those meetings?).

It is not about republican or conservative, it is about globalism...look it up...look up the CFR, look up Bilderberg. Both these candidates aren't for any real change..

Bob Barr has 7% of the national vote according to a recent Zogby poll. 7%! That is huge for a 3rd party candidate! Why won't the media talk about it? Because he is not run by a corporation nor does he have ties with globalists. i am not saying you should vote for Bob Barr, but look for other alternatives. don't vote for people that promise "hope and change" but will deliver more war and no hope for our economy.

Obama has never claimed to be anything but a moderate, and in no way has he suggested that he will be a Messiah of some sort.

Progressives should vote for Obama and help out his campaign in any way they can. At the same time they must call him when he backtracks (such as FISA) and there is no way we can unquestionably support his adventures in Afghanistan. After he is elected, it will be important to present the progressive view on all kinds of issues, from military to taxes to the economy to health care.

I think you are using too wide of a brush. Internationalism is a big tent with lots of different people. I think that there are distinct foreign policy differences between Obama and Bush. Although both are certainly internationalists--(and you are one of the few that seems to recognize this)--they are very different versions of that belief. I think we can dismiss Obama's foreign policy understanding but would be better linking it to Wilson (maybe even Bush I) than to Bush II. Different types of internationalism.

It's only people that are saying these things. Obama has only been honest, humble and cool as a cucumber. He is real, down to Earth and only wants good things for Americans. unlike Bush or McCain who could care less that your average American even exists.

I agree that his speech was one that could have come from any party.

That said, what's wrong with being positive, and bulding international unity?

God knows, we could use any good will from our allies that we can get.

I don't take it as Messiah in a any way. It's pretty cynical that we cannot like someone without making it ugly.

We always want change. Same story different verse. What we will get is change but not always positive changes. Face it as long as we have politicians running this country nobody will be happy. It's just sad that the best we can do is choose between these two clowns. Sad state of our country I wished there was a chose for "none of the above" which would just overthrow both candidates.

He can make all the speeches he wants. The real fact is that he and anyone else elected to the presidency is hamstrung by a bloated, overextended, and partisan bureaucracy that works hand in hand with big business.

The only people calling Obama a "messiah" are conservatives trying to cover for McCain's complete lack of charisma.

Only 13% of Republicans are "excited" about McCain, while 44% are excited about Obama being their candidate.

their is nothing wrong with socialism. Hey we have Social Libraries, (Social) Firefighters, (social) Cops.

None of Obama speeches even compare in the slightest to speeches given by that petty incompetent fool Bush.

I don't think so, although I'm an Obama supporter. But it's obvious he is hitting all the right spots while McCain fumbles here and there.

Honey, he could be ushering in New Jersey and it would still be better than what the Republicans are offering.
We should have stuck to Hillary.

You are 100% right. Sadly, until those idiots bombed NYC in 2001, GWB was slated to be an isolationist.

Not so much.

Uh, no.

No because this is just your opinion. Why would I think more of your opinion than my own?

His speech was that of One World Order and I am your King....geez!

oboma is a gun activist and i dont like him

ay, you a hater. a strait hater

naw that dont nail it, but if i saw u in my ghood.....
