That definitely sounds like a scam. However the scam is being done by someone other than Camelot, as they are not part of The Camelot Group.

Hope you didn't send them any information.

yes it is. first, you never signed up for a lottery. second, most lotteries you have to buy a ticket, your name does not automatically get entered.

They will do one of two things.

1- they will tell you that you need to pay the taxed on it before they can give you your money. this is a LIE. if you were to win a lottery anywhere, they would deduct taxes from your winnings. never ask you to pay it out of your pocket. or they will tell you that there are processing fees. again, not true. then once they get your check, they will either cash it and you are out whatever amount they asked you to send in or they will try to forge the check and get more money out or empty your account.

2- they will ask for a bunch of information to "verify" you identity and what they will do is steal your identity and ruin your credit.

Sorry friend but there is no Microsoft, Yahoo or other e-mail lottery, it's a scam do not answer do not give personal information.The following sites give more information
