Question about Excel Web Queries?

I am currently running a marketinf project for my small business that involves gathering business information from WhitePages.com. Our goal is to pull off names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses, if available, from a specific industry onto an excel spreadsheet organized by columns. We will then use these addresses to send out a mass-mailing of a flyer about our company.

To do this, I have been running web queries from excel for every page of 99 listings. In the web query "browser" I have to go through and select every listing individually. I then have to sort of manually organize these into columns (click and drag) because the data is processed into only one column.

Can anyone think of a better/faster way to do this?

You have to use VBA to automate the process, it not only can do the job faster without mistake, it can also do it without staff attend to it.
Any other way of doing is to save the web pages, use a data mining program to extract those info that you need.

Hi,

I agree with the other posting. Take a bit of time to learn how to use the macro recorder in Excel.

There's an excellent on line tutorial by Bill Jelen. It's free (requires iTunes). Click this link to launch iTunes and play the video. It explains how to get the data parsed into columns.
