What is the relationship between business and society?

I am writing a paper on the relationship between business and society. I know how these entities relate to one another but I need to locate three articles (sources) to critique. The paper is short and I've pretty much have it covered, except that I can't seem to find the three articles I need to corroborate my paper. I've Googled it, asked Jeeves, checked Wikipedia, but can't seem to find anything. Can anyone direct me to where I can find three articles that address Business and Society and how they relate to each other?

Thanks so much!

Sometimes society reflects businesses and sometimes businesses reflect society. Here's a random story that illustrates the interdependance:

Chasti,

finding articles which relate is somewhat uncommon, but here is something you can try. Our society is so open and free you could use a myriad of current businesses in operation to support the US economy: Pharmaceuticals is big in our country because we worry about longevity, we have people trying to sell all sorts of Make up- how many companies in America sell Makeup?
and then last pornography, how many pornography companies are available in the US?

Good comparisons: Iraq or Iran, how many of each of the same companies exist in those countries or try even Russia or Italy or even South Africa. Just a good solid comparison to show you the level of freedom and market for such goods.

You may have success finding articles by thinking of specific examples, and then breaking it down by category. You could provide different kinds of examples (financial, good, bad, environmental, etc.) and give one article on each, or you could choose just one of those and give three articles for three different companies to explain how each impacted that element of society. There are many ways to break that down, but if you choose ones that interest you, you will be much more successful in defending/explaining your paper.

Keeping in mind that you said this is a "short" paper, here are a few examples of what I'm trying to say:

Something like:

1. Microsoft's impact on how we do business.
http://hbswk.hbs.edu/item/3196.html
... The possibilities on this one are endless. It brought P.C.'s not only to the forefront of the business world, but into our homes. Software touches every aspect of our lives from how we communicate (think e-mail, for example) to how we write our papers (for example - you are posting this question to a message board when just 15 or 20 years ago, this type of research would have REQUIRED library time in front of a micro-fiche machine). It just goes on and on, and by googling any three ideas, you can find articles to support that and now you can show how just one company influenced different aspects of society, not to mention Bill Gates' personal philanthropy.

2. Milton Hershey's example on moral compasses for philanthropy.

3. Nestle's controversial baby formula marketing history

4. Toyota and the Prius' "green" impact on the environment; or The new "Green" culture, and how the Toyota Prius fits in

Hope this helps!
