I'm looking at one that offers Processing rebates for differend companys. They asking for $199.00 up front to get the addresses of companys that offer those rebaits for Customers. Has anybody worked in that field before ,and have they been sucsessfull ? I did some reading on this awhile ago for a friend on the Angela Penbrook rebate deal and immidiatly spoted a flaw in her story. This is what raised my eyebrow at her "story". She said she was laid off her job
and went into details of it, the trauma etc. Then later in her story ran into a man somwhere and he showed her this work opportunity. Went on how she started and within five months claims that she was able to quit her job working 1-5 hours a day.
The first thing that raised my eyebrow is the fact that you "try it for three months" then you pay? This isn't a job! A job you get a w2. If you were to own your own business through a company then you'd receive a 1099. Misleading information here.
What puzzled me also is her saying she lost her job and didn't know how she was going to pay rent, food and for her daughters birthday. Then to say in another story that she was able to quit her job. Two conflicting stories.
The point I'm making is you don't know this person your reading about, go through their story with a fine tooth comb, per say. The story doesn't match up. Also here's a check list of things you want to search before getting involved in a company. Things I tell people that can really help in making sure a company is one to be involved in.
1. Is this a job or a business? If it's a job, there should be no start up costs, or fees or anything. You should be paid hourly or salary and have a w2 form. If it's a business your starting, within a business your getting involved in, there would be a start up fee. What do these fee's cover? They should be covering the billings for your customers, Inventory, Customer services, Order Entry, Employees, workman's comp, Cross referencing, Licensing, Insurance, paperwork, accounts payables, accounts receivables drop shipping etc.
2. Is this company registered with the BBB?
3. Who is involved with the company?
4. Have they been featured in different magazines?
5. How long have they been in business? If it's under 5 years your taking a risk. Did they make the Inc 500 rating in their first five years?
6. Do they have a physical address that you can go to? Check for an address not just a P.O. Box Take a trip and see if the address is real.
7. Where are their headquarters?
8. How does the business work? How do you make money? etc.
So many different things to make sure the company your getting involved in is straight. If it's a job, you don't pay. If your partnering up as a business for yourself, then you do.
My husband and I started our home based business over six years ago. We both wanted to work out of our home and be together raising our children. We didn't want to send them off to a daycare center. Don't get me wrong, I'm not putting down daycare providers. They work hard. But I just didn't want the traditional family lifestyle of one or both parents having to work out of the home and really not be a part of our children's life. Not only that, but at the time we started our business, I was on bed rest from pregnancy problems and my husband was undergoing a few different opporations. The company we chose made the most since to us. A product that is and always will be in high demand. There are a lot of products and services out there that are good. We decided to partner up with this company because it was things that people will always use and pay for anyway, pretty much no matter what. We didn't have to worry if money became tight that they could easily run to the store and purchase on sale or be able to buy it at the dollar store. So, we got involved in the world's largest direct selling telecommunications service provider that was started back in 1993. It's now a 15 year old, world wide international company. With headquarters in Farmington Hills, Michigan, Charlotte, Amsterdam, Sydney and Montreal.
They have been featured in several magazines like USA Today, Success, Fortune etc. Inc 500 rated them the 22nd fastest growing company in revenue in it's first five years. They are registered with the BBB as well.
They market in services people use every day and pay for anyway, like I had said. Services like Local and Long Distance telephones, Internet, Digital, video phones, Satellite TV, and all the major cellular phone companies like T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, Nextell, Altell etc as well. We save people money and make money at the same time. Every single month these people pay their bills, we make a percentage over and over again each month.
How many people do you know, or know of around the world that uses one or more of these services or products? . A lot of money involved in this industry.
When we started our non profit organization called SOFTIN (www.seafaringopportunities.org) funding is so hard to find with the compeitition involved. Every non profit organization is out there trying to find donors through large corporations. We could make the monthly income to well support our non profit organization based on what we knew and how much we made from our business. So we started a funding program through our business for our non profit as well as other non profits and it's becoming a major funding source for non profit organizations. No competition amongst the non profits, and it helps all types of funding.
If you need further information feel free to email me at Kaiden4@aol.com Hi,
Great post. It's not easy to open a small business. Most small business fail (statistically). I lost a lot of money trying to open a website.
I was really down about losing my money when a friend introduced me to a really cool way to get started on the web. There's a company that matches companies selling products with people that want to promote the products (the name of the company is Keep Clicking). I joined for free (actualy, they paid me $10, but I didn't get that until I had $50 in my account which took me about a month).
Most of the products I promote are free trial offers (it's kind of like magazines where the person can try a month free). The products usually ship for $4, and I get about $17! So I have no inventory, and I made over $1,200 last month.
Anyway, it's the best way to make money that I've seen, and it's free.
Best of luck to you!
