What key information do you need on a business card if you're a freelancer?

I work freelance in the theatre industry - what information do you think I need to include? Not sure if I need my home address (as I'm freelance) but any feedback would be great (even if it's non-theatre specific). Thanks!!

Only include information about ways that you want to be contacted.

If you want to meet people at your home then include your home address.

If you only want people to contact you through your website, only put that.

whatever basic contact methods you want ptople to use..
but please - no 'free email address'for just a few pounds/ dollars a year you can have your own domain.

have something that will give the holder a reason to keep the card - something valuable and relevant to your business - use the back
what about a useful data lookup table relevant to your sector - anything that will make someones lide easier.

Hey Sarah, thanks for answering my question. I produce business cards and sell them on ebay but was thinking of using elance to do some work.

I usually ask the paying customer to specify what they want on the cards. Every customer is different. Some could want as little as the business name and a contact number, whilst others want their business' name, tel. number, e-mail address etc

You don't need to put your address. I recommend you dont. Because you are probably going to give a lot of these out to people, and who knows where your address will end up. I say just your name, title, phone number and business email.
