Does this mean i've been approved for a credit card?

i applied for a credit card online and i got a message saying that i should hear something within 3-4 weeks. i got a call today from them saying they needed to verify my address because there was no record of it (since i provided a cell phone number they couldn't pull up the address). i asked the lady if i have been approved and she said it's going through the final steps and i will hear from them in 7-10 business days. does this mean i've already been approved?

i also told her the name and address on their record is not current and haven't been since i was in undergrad living with my parents. she told me that she just needed to verify the address i provided on the application which i told her was up to date and correct.

It is a good sign.
If you were not approved immediately, you would have been told.
They are looking for more verification. You will probably get a card with a low limit. But, WOW! It's a start.

Most likely you will recieve the card.
Credit card companies request vertification to prevent excessive fraud.
Remember to make the minimum payments and try to keep your balance 30% of your credit limit

I don't think so. When you're approved, they usually tell you right away, but who knows? Credit card companies are HURTING. They want you to use their cards. Good luck!
