I want to start my own business, has anyone started their own business?

I want to start my own business in Cleveland, Ohio, right now I'm doing my business plan with no profesional help and it's taking my 2 months so far...Has anyone started their own business? I would like to talk to someone who has, if you can drop me your email address so we can chat. What kind of business what it? Where at? What advice an you give me?

My husband and I started a home based business over six years ago. It's a lot easier then starting a traditional business because you don't need to have set hours, there is not a lot of overhead (virtually none), and the income opportunity is the same as a traditional business and the tax advantages too! So that's one of the reason's why we chose this business. Also the fact that we have four children and wanted to be at home an attend to their needs.

How many people do you know, or know of around the world that uses one or more of these services or products? Just about everyone around the world does. You help people save money on an existing service they have, as well as introducing them to new products and services around the world. With cellular phones, you save them up to 75% on new 2 year contracts with phones as well as saving them money on upgrading and extending their existing contracts. Every time these people pay their bills each month on these services, you make a percentage every single month.
If you think about how many people use these services world wide, their's a lot of money in this industry to be made.

The best advice I can give you if your going to start your own company is make sure the product is in demand. If your opening up a store, your going to have a lot of competition, you'll have to make sure that what your selling is quality and affordable. In a new store opening, your going to have to undercut the other stores prices in your area. If your going to partner up with a company, and run it out of your home, make sure the product is in high demand and they can't just run to a store and buy it on sale when money runs tight with them.

Starting a business is easier than most people think. There are many overly complicated ways to start a business. Pretty much it comes down to three things.

1. Have a product or service that people want to buy.
2. Make more money than you are spending.
3. Enjoy it.

Not having a boss and controlling your own destiny is wonderful.

As an Entreprenuer who has built many businesses, the best advise I can offer you is: 1) Determine what YOU want to do
2) Find people in that field who are successful and model after them
3)You are only as good as the people you associate with in business, so find other successful entrepreneurs in other fields to be around and talk to.
4) Know why you want to start a business
5) Have clear and specific goals defined
