My own online business help?

im trying to start my own business. i dont want to disclose any details but how do i start my website? do i pay any thing? from what i understand i have to make a website, then get a website address then find a way to get payments made to my paypal. can any one help me please and tell me what to do?

I've been doing online business now since 1996 on the internet and find that the most lucrative way is to have your own domain and website, there are many free ways to go, but in the long run you find that you are not really in command of your own work, there are many pitfalls.

Firstly you need to create a domain name that relates to your online business, make it short, so as people can remember, a domain name can cost you yearly between $7-$10 , register your domain at a credible registrar.

next you need a hosting company to place your website, if you are offered a free domain for signing up, beware! it may be difficult for you to have controll over your domain, and in instances virtually impossible for you to transfer if you decide you are not satisfied with your hosting company, so my advice don't keep your domain register at a hosting company if you are not in controll of your domain.

Now depending how large you need your website to be, that's up to you, look for a webhosting that offer the most, there are webhostings starting around $3.95 monthly, ok for newbies, but limited in services, most hosts will allow you to upgrade to there standard packages, this gives you a chance at least to see if your business is making money.

Now you need to think of how you are going to receive online payments, so you need a payment processor of some kind, There are many out there, but I have been with PayPal for many years and never had any issues with them, easy to sign up with, and secure servers.
