Bad check on closed account? |
I live in GA. I was selling a brand new PS3 for $400 on craigslist and a lady met with me and gave me a check. She said it was a business check but when I went to the bank they said it was a personal check and the account had been closed. Mysteriously she doesn't answer her phone anymore, so I did a cell phone trace and found her relatives address (linked to the cell phone). She still lives at the address on the check because I went there and her car was there. I have her name, address, relative's address, cell phone number, and licence plate number. I have contacted the relatives and they seemed to understand but said they haven't seen her recently. What is my next step? tell the copz there are lieing to u I would file a complaint with the police and threaten to take her to small claims court if she dosn't respond I'm sure the cops can offer advice or help get the ps3 back at least... life lesson....I wold park in back of her car and wait for her...get the computer and call it a day...bring snacks and a pee can and another person! |
