The rich abused the poor. The Russian government's whole duty to their country was to have some sort of morals and help those blood related to them, but they didn't from a human stand point of things. He also believed that anybody making a profit was abusing everyone else around them. I don't have a side to this statement, something like this could be viewed from different standpoints, for example, I am a very succesful business man/woman, I make a good profit but don't take it to seriously, on the other hand if I didn't view "evolution" the same way of course the way I delt with things or went through with things would totally be different. In the end it would all come down to the person you are, I could be wrong, but I don't think that profitting for yourself would hurt anyone, not unless the government was "that bad". Everyone was equal. I think this one is very important because today in America we as well have a strong belief that all, in, and around our society are equal and thus should be treated the same, so I like the way he said this. I completely support his beliefs in that the government should TRULY represent the people, that should be the soul purpose of a government. The Russian Government supported a system that kept the huge majority of Russian people in misery and therefore it should be overthrown. This thought is what led him to act for the Russian people against the Russian Government, same with the American Revolution, the only difference was that we where not fighting against our country we where fighting the British for our rights.Of course Lenin had to eventually start something up in order to support the communist movement.
What did Lenin promise the people of Russia in order to gain their support for the Revolution?
To support the communist movement, Lenin promised the Russian people three things. First, that he would pull Russia out of the war, this war started because of the revolutions in America and France which began opening the worlds eyes in a sense that the ideas of Democracy and equality changed how people saw everything going around, whether it was your human born rights, or your right to own land, which brings us to our second "Great Lenin Promise". This second one promised peasants land. Thirdly, he promised to give control of the factories to the workers and the soviets(wow, what power!)

In 1918 he signed the treaty of Brest-Litovsk, which ended Russia;s involvement in World war I. He then took 50,000 men into battle, they where the "Red Army" who fought across the countyside in order to fight the "White Army". The red army fought for land, the white army fought to return the country back to the rule of the tsars, the red army won in 1921.
