This is straigh from Guza's own lips tell me what you think....Michael.?

Entertainment Weekly (www.EW.com) has an interesting article addressing the shooting of Michael, and how Bob Guza Jr. made the decision to turn the violence on Michael. According to the article, the storyline where Michael shot Kate, and left her for dead played out during the writers strike. When he returned, he decided the best way to address the unhappy fans about the "lack of repercussions of Michael鈥檚 act of violence was to have Michael take a bullet himself." I kid you not鈥t says that! Payback is hell!

The article also addresses the question of whether Dylan is being replaced by an aging Michael. Guza is not giving anything away:

"Guza (who is keeping mum on Michael鈥檚 fate) doesn鈥檛 believe he鈥檚 necessarily locked into keeping Cash playing Michael forever, but he does say that having the same actor play a character straight through from childhood raises the dramatic potential (just look at Kimberly McCollough鈥檚 Robin)."

And when asked about ending mob violence on GH?

鈥欌€橶e鈥檙e not going to make them all go in the garment business. That is not what this story is about,鈥欌€?Guza says. 鈥欌€橳he show is about romance during wartime, for lack of a better term. We have the highest stakes possible because people can be killed. We鈥檙e not going to ignore that. We鈥檙e not going to go away from that. But we鈥檙e going to make them very, very aware of the consequences and make them try to deal in nonviolent ways.鈥欌€?br>

Wow...talk about payback being a b**** ! Poor Michael. I would think, if it was payback for anyone, it would be for Carly, Sonny, and Jason for making bad decisions and living the mob lifestyle. Instead, it's payback for Michael, who had no choice in the way he was raised? That seems a bit extreme. And it kind of sounds like punishing the victim instead of punishing the violator(s). I don't think I agree w/his rationale on this. And you would think at least one of them would want out of the mob, after this incident. I mean, doesn't that make more sense? Guza is a silly, silly man.

That said, it's been an interesting week on GH and despite the tears I've shed, I've been glued to the screen and I keep coming back for more. So, maybe he's on to something. Not saying I agree but it has been an entertaining week.

its a show. things like this whether wrong or right get ppl talking(like us right now) it creates buzz for the show and hopefully brings in new viewers who bring the ratings up. i know its hard to see a kid being hurt in such a violent way but i think there so much potential to build several sl's from this event. maybe even reverse some of the stuff that we complained about during the writers' strike.

as for micheal being sorased if its done its done but i hope its not. i like dylan's performance as micheal. he has build that character into one that most of us love to hate even at his young age. i only see his acting skills growing if they keep him in that role. and there are so many ways they can develop his character after this sl as he grows up. i say they keep him for as long as he wants to play the roll.

does guza seem like a troll to anyone else tho...?

oh and i wanted to add that there is too much focus on the mob. the show is called general hospital. a friend of mine asked me(he doesnt watch soaps) why is there a mob in a story about a hospital? it didnt make sense to him. and in a way he's right. there is very lil romance in this violence filled show. they have killed off alot of fan favs and broken up loved couples in senseless ways to continue this mob sl. i'm not saying i dont enjoy some of the mob stuff but we do need some more romance, and friendships and family togetherness to balance the show out.

No come on i like Michael but i hate Sonny Sonny should die he deserves it they should kill Sonny off have Jerry Jacks aka Mr. Monroe kill him off come on because if they don't me and a lot of my friends are going to quit watching GH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's time for Sonny to die instead of AJ dying Sonny should have because he's the one that's evil. AJ just had some problems.
