Should the customer's addr be included in formal letter sent via E-mail? |
I work at a company where we send a pre-formatted Welcome Letter (welcoming the customer to our services). Sometimes we send this letter via snail-mail and sometimes via E-mail. Some say that because it's being sent via E-mail it doesn't need the customer's address on the top left as the regular mailed letter would. I need opinions from people who know about business writing. Thanks! I wouldn't send a formal letter through email, but if you must, I would not include their address--just their email address. No, physical address should not be included in an email, unless the letter is written in a separate attachment such as in a Word Doc. |
