Iweb help!!!?

i'm about to purchase one of apples amazing macbooks!!! i'm getting it to take advantage of all the features, iphoto, imovie, and garageband. also i was wanting to do some web designing with iweb. i do not intend on purchasing a .mac subscription, but have heard it is necessary to publish my websites. i intend on making a website for my business, one for my personal self, and one for my best friend. will iweb let me publish the site or do i have to have .mac? also what will the web address be for the sites? thanks so much.

No, you do not need to have a .Mac account in order to produce a working website with iWeb. Note that I have written produce and not publish... that's because you can use iWeb to publish/export your website to a folder on your HD and then use an ftp program (cyberduck?) to upload it to your account.
