Bush Again Demands Telecom Immunity
(CBS/AP) In his radio address today, President George W. Bush again called for retroactive legal immunity from class action lawsuits initiated against telecommunication companies that participated in the government's wiretapping program without court-ordered warrants.

Your Thoughts?

Bush has never been on the side of the American people His actions Throughout his years in office has proven that many times over. Bush is on the side of whoever lines his pockets the most always has been always will be. Bush seems to forget vetos can be over turned he has relied upon the support of his fellow repblicans to support his vetos & so far that has worked very well for him But Even his fellow Republicanns are Finally starting to get tired of his antics & I think if he vetos these bills in an election year he may very possibley find he no longer has the support he once had to be able to sustain a veto on bills like this

What a pair of idiots. Report It

$$$

There are real good reasons for vetoing that bill. Instead of posting it here where all you'll get are ignorant responses based on politics, try posting it in the finance and economics forums where you'll get valid answers.

The bottom line. Giving these protections to deadbeats will only raise the mortgage interest rate for those who are not irresponsible morons. That decision has nothing to do with siding with big business and everything to do with Congress overstepping their authority.

If Congress raises taxes on oil companies, who will pay for it? Who purchases petroleum products? The consumer. Are you people really that ignorant of economics?

Edit: You still didn't answer my question. Taxes are a business expense. If Congress raises taxes on a business, what do they do? They raise their prices. It is that simple. Corporations don't pay taxes. If you can't understand that concept, I feel sorry for you. Your socialist assertions aside, none of the links you posted are valid solutions. They're simply ignorant proposals by an even more ignorant and incompetent Congress to appease an even more ignorant constituency. If you want to share in the profits of Exxon Mobile, buy their stock. Better yet, ask Congress to futher reduce their taxes. They pay more in taxes (at all levels) than they make in profits. Their profit margin is 13% and their tax rate is already over 40%. Based on the nonsensical answers posted here, I doubt any of you have attended college and most likely didn't do well in high school.

Big Business. I thought everyone knew that by now.

BIG Business. That is who has bailed him out when he tanked those businesses. Sad isn't it that we are going to get more of the same in November...Obama, Clinton and McCain are all of the same make.

Obviously the American people

How many accounts do you have jackass? 40% best answers is fraud. You aren't smart enough to formulate a best answer on the best day of your life. What an insignificant little uneducated socialist turd.
