The father disappeared owing money, support his family knows can I take them to court to find out were he is?

I have many small claims to do can I have his family suspenied to testify for he will not show up, as he did not for child custody. I was told that if I can't find him good luck in getting any kind of money. After fro doesn't find him how can I push for him to loss his licence, passport renewal, and is jail a final and a possiblity? He has also left me with 70,000 proven debt for his business start up, he had pretended to want to my partner and father for his son. I letting him back in to my life sept.2006.I found out after he disappeared he was in a realationship the entire time, his family was in on it and friends with his girlfriend pretending to be mine and my son's family while I signed and forked out money for his business and truck he lost it all and owed his several customers 10 of thousands for he really wasn't working as hard as he claimed in business at anyrate. How can I get him legally without an address and no money for private detectives?

Yes, if you can't find him you won't be able to get any money. There is one exception to that rule and it is child support. His federal income tax return can be held for that. Other than child support, you can get all the judgements that you want, that doesn't mean you'll collect. If you don't know his whereabouts you can always sue and serve by publication. My advice is search on his social security number (you should have it from past tax returns). Many times you can find someone that way.

You don't need a PI; you need a skip-tracer. Don't know how they are listed in the phone book, but they specialize in finding people who want to remain unfound. They tend to work for banks (loan dept.), financial corporations (small loan storefronts), medical billing companies, and the like. Find one and put a skip-trace on it. He'll probably find the guy, then you can serve him successfully.

It will still cost you money. If he owes you something, you might be able to make a deal for them to get a portion after he is found.
