What to do about unsolicited mails in my account? |
I am getting plenty of mails daily, some are abusive, filthy, all unsolicited.I keep reporting to Spam, have also approached Help centre of Yahoo but nothing helps, they all have my address ,all are from abroad, with non returnable addresses and are increasing daily.I receive nearly 100 such mails daily. What is to be done? Can someone help.If I change my email ID ,it will be problematic as I run a business and will have to inform atleast 100 people of the same.Plz help. Once you begin to get spam it is next to impossible to stop it. It is started when you post your email address in any public forum or give it to an untrustworthy web site. If you are getting spam from a well known company there will be a link in the email to stop it. Never use the link with unknown companies. It just verifies your address. You can mark email as spam but Yahoo only stops it if there are multiple reports. If the address is constant you can add it to your blocked address list. Spammers keep changing the "from" addresses and even use the addresses of the people they are spamming. The best advice is protect your address and don't let spam start. Once started there is not much you can do. |
