Ebay and Distance Selling Regulations?

I run an Ebay business from home and have done so for a couple of years.When I first started I noticed in the the Distance Selling Regulations that it was necessary to show the address of my business on my 'about me' page on Ebay.

I decided not to do this as I work from home and I did not want to show my home address where the whole world could see it. My family live in the house with me and I don't want to cause any danger to them.

If I work from home is it really necessary to show an address?I cannot find any help on what should be done in this situation.Anyone having the same problem?

You legally have to show your registered office as defind by the companies act and the business names act, Get a Mailbox from a mail box provider and run it from there

No you do not have to provide a private address or any address. As long as you provide current and active contact details. Can be a email address, phone number, PO Box etc

Its Similar to any company, particulary limited companies, that offer a 'Registered Address' it does not have to be where the business is run from as long as it is providing the consumer with a base where the trader can be corresponded with
