Should I make contact? |
I stumbled across an article online regarding someone I met 15 years ago. One night, 15 years ago we talked for several hours until it came time for him to leave. He had been in town for business. Anyhow, he gave me his number and address for me to keep in touch, but unfortunately I misplaced it. So, here it is 15 years later, and I see that he is still dedicated to his cause and doing well for himself. My question is: Would it be inappropriate to drop him an e-mail and say hello? I am not interesting in him romantically, but I found him so interesting to talk to. If I did e-mail do you have any suggestions on what I could say? Thanks Yes, email him. Say perhaps "you may not remember me, but you had given me you # and I had honestly misplaced it, and I just want to congratulate you on your current situation...and add some details in regards to whatever it is that you found interesting about him. Good luck! yes go for it. im sure he'd appreciated. but i if i were you i wouldnt get my hopes up of him remembering me. if hes persuing some cause, im sure he's met a lot of people and cant remember all of them. Say hi... people often wonder if they should say hi to old friends and when both of the friends are too passive nothing gets said and both think that the other is ignoring them....just drop him a line I'm sure he'll be elated as will you. Yes, email him. Reacquaint him with you (met 15 years ago, misplaced contact details, came across article etc...). Tell him a little about yourself (single? married? kids? job?). yes, of course |
