Illegal immigrant?

I asked a ? & my goodness people R cruel. Im not saying I dont think our legal system should be stiffer for illegal immigrants. Im saying however there are alot of people who work very hard, they may be illegal but they do most jobs our society looks at as "Im not going to do that kind of work, let's apply for welfare & sit home on our A@@" my sister is on welfare rather than work pure laziness, Most people come here because they are tired of making 15.00 a WEEK, when the cost of living is same there as here. Im not agreeing of the way they arrive, but what choice do they have. Our Friends 5 yrs ago, they lived here for 15 yrs & had legal papers there daughter graduated College the damm mayor gave her a honor, 5 yrs being here they bought a house, the govt sent them papers to old address(the govt had new address)they never received, they were deported over a paper the family owned a decent business a home paid taxes, our friend died of a heart attack on the way back. IS THAT FAIR?

I guess the few who read they were LEGALLY HERE..they were doing the process as our GOVERMENT asked, everything they did for 15 years they contacted the goverment, when they moved, when they started there own business, When there daughter started college, which by the way they paid for themselves, so tell me why when our GOVERMENT has a process in place and people who earn the right to become legal it still fails..

Was it fair of them to be here in the first place taking a spot that legal immigrants had to wait for? Your friends just cut in line and have criminally been using America for most of their lives. Besides being deported they should have had everything they own confiscated, any educational degrees voided and been fined before kicking them out and forbidding them to ever even visit America again. They are criminals and deserve only contempt.

I do believe there are a lot of good ones among the illegals, like you said whose only "crime" has been to lack the proper documentation. I think for these a way should be found to let them stay.

What is your point.My grandson could not get into head start beacuse of the illegal kids that was there and my taxes paid for them.My property tax would be lower if not for the illegal kids in our public school so don't come off with your question the way you put if they are legal I have no problem with them.Oh and by the way don't you think they could have gone to the INS when their papers ran out I am sure they knew when they ran out some things you have to do for yourself

Sorry about your aquiantance dying. Lets say things in balck and white. This country was built on immigrants and will continue to grow with the help of the right ones too. But laws are made to be obeyed. If you came here without the right permission or paper work and you have been here for 20 years and have been a good citizen to this country. I believe some consideration should be given to that specific case but it does not take away that you entered ilegally into the USA. Think of it this way a man snicks into your house and hides in your basement, eats out of your trash, clothes himself with your old clothes and then starts to help out around the house by cutting the lawn. Do you still feel comfortable with him. And what if he brings over his wife and three kids. Then he starts to was your cloths and clean your car. The kids get sick and you pay for them to get well then you send them to school. Then one day out of the blue you have to make a dicision like the color of your house and he gives you his opinion. Then he starts to demand a spot for his car in your drive way. Understand the metaphor? I am not against anyone wanting to improve their way of life but do it the right way. I know of people who have worked hard for ten years to get into this country and finally get in and a guy swims 20 yards crosses some sand and all of the sudden should be given free room and board. Just do it the right way. If a Jamiacan can do it so can a Mexican or any other ethinic group.

I think you are probably right that so many of the 12 million or so illegal immigrants are probably just good people who have come here to make better lives for themselves. I applaud their ambition..HOWEVER...... if they want to be here.. and they are such good people.. why in hell could they not have applied for citizenship, do it legally and become tax paying Americans rather than living in the shadows. That was their choice.

I am not against the person, but I am against the illegal. yes, we are a country of immigrants, but we are also a country of laws. laws that our governments, all of them seem to forget.

It is time this was solved.. it is already past the place where it can be done properly. These illegals have got to go home.. and if they want to live here they must do it right.

I believe that your is a statement to which I add; my father had to wait 5 yrs to immigrate my mother, which is why I have relatives on both sides of the border.
I had to wait 5 yrs to immigrate my other half and pay a fine on top for whatever I know I did. Did I cry... Why should I accept their tears or their whatevers as an excuse; to top it off, I had to pay for my kid born elsewhere to become a naturlaized citizen, for my other kid born here cause I did not qualify for PA, why should they get a freebee...
